Easy Omelets *Fun for both Kids and Adults!*

While vacationing in Florida I was introduced to the easiest way to fix an omelet ever! They are perfect for picky eater's... and super fun for both adults and kids!  We used 1/2 gallon Freezer bags, and set up a "build your own" omelet station with Eggs, Cheese, Turkey, Ham, Bacon, Onion, Mushrooms, tomatoes and Spinach!  You can get creative, and use whatever filling you would like!!  Everyone loved them and they are soooo good!!   Here is how you make them ::

  1. Crack the eggs into a largeresealable freezer bag (for adults we used 2 eggs, children 1.) Press out most of the air, and seal. Shake or squeeze to beat the eggs. Open the bag, and add the ham, cheese, onion, green pepper, tomato, salsa, and mushrooms. Squeeze out as much of the air as you can, and seal the bag.
  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Place up to 8 bags at a time into the boiling water. Cook for exactly 15 minutes. Open the bag, and let the omelet roll out onto a plate. The omelet should roll out easily. **We did have to microwave a few once we opened the bag.  Just re-seal it and pop it in the microwave for 1 minute at a time until done.
