Finally... it's the weekend!!

I am exhausted!!  Thank goodness the weekend is here!!  It's almost sad... the girls are at their father's this weekend, and i welcomed it!  I just want to sleep. I need sleep... I can survive without sleep!! Sleep, Sleep, Sleep!!

Jenna has been waking up in the middle of the night with Nightmare's!  EVERY night lately!  So, she crawls into bed with us..and mommy gets zero space or sleep after!  I have GOT to come up with a solution.  I have tried going back to bed with her until she is asleep, reading, letting her watch TV.  It's not working!!  Any suggestions?!?!!?

In happier news... it's my Mother in Law's birthday!  I love my Mother in Law!  She's the best!  She loves me and my girls like one of her own.. and treats us all SO good!!  She is coming into town for the night, and we are taking her to some flea markets and having a cookout tonight! :)  Super fun!!

Have a great weekend everyone! :) Sorry for my lack of blogging!!

Always a Little Behind Crafts review and giveaway! :)

I had the chance the review the CUTEST crayon wallet from Always a Little Behind Crafts!  What an ingenious idea!!  As much as we travel on the weekends... the Wallet has been SO much fun for my girls!!

The Crayon Wallet opens up, and can hold crayons or colored pencils, a small notepad and stickers!!

My girls are always spilling crayons out of the box on trips, so this was PERFECT!! (We chose the one's with pencils) and they stayed in place perfectly!!  My girls created masterpieces, on our last trip!! :)  It would also be perfect to slip in a diaper bag to use as returaunts!!  ;)

The craftmanship rocks as well!

Check our her Etsy store Here

I think it would be perfect as a Christmas gift!  I am ordering 2 more for my niece and nephew!!

My girls give it 2 thumbs up!!

(I was given a crayon wallet for the purpose of this review)

New week!!

I start work full time this week!  I'm sad that I have to put the girls in afterschool care, but our family will benefit in the long run!  So... I have had ZERO time to blog after being away for the weekend!!  Hopefully soon, I will find my "Blog Groove" and learn to balance everything!  This week will be the test for sure!!

Thanks for being patient with me!!  My family comes first, and I am spending the day with my grandparents and J & A!  I can't wait!!

Wordless Wed

Every year, Bug's family goes to Hardy Arkansas, to the Spring River, to camp for a week.  A few years ago, we took the girls for the first time... and they had SO much fun!  This is a family pic, of most of the kids that went with us! :)

Jess, Me, and Vick have been best friends since our 9th grade year!!  Eeeekkk!!  Over 17 years!  (we are getting old!!)

Because someday's... I feel like Super Mom! ;)

Today is a new day!

I've been in a funk lately.  Not sure why, or what its from...    Today, I woke up in SUCH a better mood!!  Could be the fact that I went to bed at 9pm last night, and slept soundly untl 5:45!!   I do not do well on lack of sleep!!  AT all!!

I've been reading a new book that I can NOT put down!  It's the Nora Roberts bridal series!!  So good!!  I can't wait for book #2 to come in!  I'm really liking!!

The girls are out of school on Friday and Monday for fall break!  We were going to go camping, but decided not to go.  We are going to the Blue's Fest instead!  Should be a good time!

I hope everyone has a great day! :)

Ok, I've been Missing in Action.  I'm so tired after working all day, homework with the girls, dinner, bath, reading, ughhh!!  Tonight, I am determined to get into bed a decent hour!!

I promise to catch up with everyone soon!!  Pinkie swear!!

I took a Blog break today... and got thing caught up around the house!!!  It's so nice having a clean house with all the laundry caught up!!

Here is my "To do" list for the week::

I start back to work tomorrow, just for the week!  I applied for a new "dream" job... keep your fingers crossed for me!  I would LOVE it!!

Tomorrow is our first Daisy Scout meeting! :)  I'm excited and nervous... please let me be a good leader!!

We decided to go camping this weekend!  The weather is supposed to be goregous!!  Our last camping trip before we have to winterize the motor home!

My girls had a great weekend with their dad.  I can't believe it's been a year... time flies!!  I really don't want to get into the whole story (it's NOT a good one) just think good thoughts that we don't get put through what we did 1 1/2 years ago!

Ashley has a wart on the end of her toe... ew.  I must make a doctor's appointment for her!

My husband is going through a mid life crisis! LOL  He put his speakers and amp thingy back in the jeep today! Ugh!!

I'm 32 years young, and had a HUGE zit come up on my cheek!  Seriously?!?!?!

I bought 7 more Christmas presents this weekend... go me!! :)

I had a newborn shoot on Saturday!  She is precious!!  Here are some sneek peak pics... enjoy!

Have a great week everyone!!! If the pics below don't put a smile on your face... I don't know what will!! :)

Goooooood Morning Saturday!

I don't know why I even TRY to sleep in!  I'm a morning person! A sugary, smiling "GOOOOOD Morning" kinda morning person!!!  You know the type?!!  That's me! ;)

I successfully slept in until... are you ready for it?!?!! ...... 6:45am!  Taaaa Daaaa!!  Seriously, even with no kids here... I'm  up!  Bug of course is sleeping, and can sleep until noon!  I on the otherhand, think I'm wasteing my day by sleeping in!!

Today, we are going to go to the hospital to see precious Hailey!!  I got to see her on Thursday, but Bug has had to work late, and has not been able to go see her! Newborn's make me happy!  Especially when they are somebody else's!

I got my menu planned out for the week.  I'm tired of cooking the same stuff... all the time.  So, I got a cookbook out, and picked 4 new recipes to try!

Tortilla Soup
Sausage and Rice Bake
Chicken Pot Pie
Chicken Spaghetti

Now, I need to go grocery shopping!!

Bug surprised me last night... I got home from taking the girls to AR, and he had Steaks on the grill (porter houses, OMG my husband can cook a steak) baked potatoes, and wine!  It was Soooo yummy!!  It was great spending the evening on the back patio, laughing and talking!  We definately needed it!  We even decided to go camping next weekend, 1 last time before we have to winterize the motor home!  We aren't going to tell the girls.. and surprise them.  J & A are out of school Friday-Tuesday next week... so we are going to take a 4 day weekend to camp!  Soooo much fun! I can't wait!!

Now... off to hop....

Come join in... it's really fun!!

Grumpy, Grumpy Tish....

I'm grumpy today!!  I had one of those nights....

11:30 pm (after being asleep for an hour) Miss J woke me up.  She thought it was time to "get up" so I had to get her back to sleep!  I cheated, and put her back to bed on the couch.

2:30 am  Marley (dog # 1) woke me up and needed to go out.

3:00 am  Camo (dog #2) woke me up and wanted to go out with Marley.

3:30 am  both Marley and Camo were barking to be let back in.  Seriously?!?!

So... I finally got to sleep from 3:30 until 6:15! Go Me!!  I'm tired.  Really tired.  I think I will take a nap before it's time to go get the girls...and drive them half way to their dad's for the weekend.  Another thing I am grumpy about.  REALLY grumpy about.

I hope to shake this funk soon ... me and my husband get to sleep in tomorrow, we get to have an ADULT (not that kind of adult movie... just something other than G rated!) movie night tonight, we have a date night planned for tomorrow, and he will grill something on Sunday!  I've got the house clean and laundry caught up, so i don't have to do that this weekend.  I get some blogging time, and get to get caught up on some sewing I have been wanting to do! (Did you know I make pillowcase dresses!?!?!) I get to go get my baby fix again and enjoy my husband.   I should look at all the positives of the weekend!

What do you have planned for the weekend?!?!

Going on a Mouse Hunt.... (edited to include our story! :))

So I don't foget to tell the story of our GREAT mouse hunt this morning... but for now... I have to get the girls to school, mall to get my engagement ring (Finally!!!!) post office ( rocks!!) and to the hospital to get my baby fix!!  Our best friends Tina and Dustin welcomed their precious Hailey into the world this morning!!   I'll be back with pics!!

Welcome to all my new followers!! I'm sure glad to "meet" you!

I'm backkkkkk....
Ugh. I'm so aggravated right now!!  I dropped the girls off at school, and headed to the post office.... Really?!?!?!  they don't open until 9am, so I thought I would run over to the mall and pic up my ring, then pop back over to the post office.  Seriously... THE MALL DOESN'T open until 10am!  Come on people.... I have things to do and people to see!  10 am?!?!?  Maybe I need to find a job at the mall!!!  I could easily rise and shine for work at 10AM!!!!  ughhhh!!!   So, here I am... I have gotten nothing accomplished yet today!  Nothing!!  Ok, Rant over!

So this morning, I am getting the girls ready for school.... doing our usual "get dressed, we are going to be late!!  GIRLS... get dressed.  Put on your socks.... where are your shoes?!?!  GIRLS.... " finally we make it to the bathroom to get our teeth brushed and hair fixed... and Jenna leans over the toilet for some reason.. and there is a MOUSE in the toilet.  Ew... Ewwwww.... ewwww!!  We have been trying to catch that little pesky thing for WEEKS, and it ends up in the toilet?!!?!  I don't even want to know HOW that happened... (which reminds me, I need to go bleach the hell out of my bathroom)  or how it ended up in the toilet bowl.  Thank goodness nobody had used that bathroom this morning.  Can you imagine sitting down.. and finding that between your legs?!?!?!?!

The girls got a good laugh out of it, and started singing "We're going on a Mouse Hunt" this morning!! I on the other hand, am still completely freaked out over it.  Bug had left for work, so I had to deal with it.  Yep........ FLUSH. I know, I'm probably going to hell.  Seriously, was I supposed to fish the thing out of the toilet.  I don't think so!!  Not this momma!!  The girls think that toilet water goes to the "ocean" (gross) so I'm sure the mouse is having a great time at the beach right now!!

We are Frandernal!!

I took the girls to the park yesterday after school for a playdate! It was SUCH a nice day!!  While waiting on our friends to get there, J & A started playing with another little girl, who was about a year younger than they were.  I was sitting on the bench reading my book when I heard A and J talking about being twins. (They have really gotten into telling people this, as soon as they meet... Hi, We are Twins!) They were trying to explain that they were Fraternal Twins... but Miss A said "We are Frandernal Twins"  Sooo cute!

I've gotten some really positive feedback from some vendors that specialize in Handmade items.  So, in a few weeks... I'm going to do a special "Handmade Holiday Happenings" with tons of giveaways and reviews!  I'm hopeing to do it for 1 week.. with atleast 2 giveaways a day! :)  I've got some really FUN items so far!  :)

I'm going to get my flu shot today!  I HATE needles!!  Last year, I almost passed out.  Seriously, they terrify me!  I don't even want to think about it....

Honest Opinions needed! :) Puh-Leeeeeze!

I'm interested in doing Reviews and giveaways...... who isn't right!?!?!   So here is my question ::

Does it bother you to read a blog that ha reviews/giveaways?  I love contests (I even won 2 so far!  Go me!!!  LOL ) and reading blogs!  Love it!   But, I don't want to completely fill my blog up with stuff, and everyone skip over Peace Love Quack!  Ya know?!?!   I also want to be able to post things have to do with ME and my Family!!!  I guess I need to find a happy medium....

I figured I would email a couple of companies, because you won't know til you dont' ask, and see if they are interested .... who knows!!

Just wanted your opinon on the subject.

Tuesday Hops! :)

Tuesday Tag-Along

Fall has arrived!

Fall is my favorite time of year!  I love it!!  Pumpkins, Football, Apple Cider, Pretty leaves, Cooler weather!  We finally got the chance to put out our fall decor last night, and the whole family helped!!  It turned out SO cute!!

The girls had so much fun stretching the spider webs, and chasing each other with them!  hahahah!!

We have a playdate this afternoon, so I already have dinner in the oven! ;)  How's that for being on top of things today!  LOL  I am making "Mexican chicken" a dish my mom made when we were kids!  Here is the recipe::

Easy Mexican Chicken Enchilada Casserole

8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs  (i use boneless, skinkless chicken breast)
1 1/2 quarts water
2 tsp. salt
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can original Rotel
2 cups reserved chicken broth, from the chicken
1 bag Tortilla Chips (some people use Doritios)
2 cups grated colby jack cheese

In a large pot, pour in the water, add salt and chicken. Boil for 30 minutes, or until the chicken can shred easily.
While the chicken is cooking; chop the onion, and grate the cheese. In a medium bowl, combine the soups, and Rotel. (When the chicken is done) add the chicken stock; mix with a whisk until the soups are smooth.

When the chicken is done, remove to a bowl and with 2 forks, shred the chicken.

In a greased 13x9" baking dish, using a ladel, pour a little bit of the soup mixture coating the bottom of the dish.

On top of the soup mixture in the dish, make the first layer, using 5 tortillas, arrange them overlapping in the design of the Olympics Logo. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the chicken. Then sprinkle with !/3 of the chopped onion. Cover the chicken and onion with 1/3 of the soup mixture.

Do 2 more layers in the same order, but with each layer, invert the direction of the tortillas.

Sprinkle the cheese over the top.

Heat the oven to 350*.

Cover the dish with foil. and place in the oven.

Bake for 45 minutes.

It's SOOOOO good, and easy! :)  Just the way I like it!

Have you ever heard or used ?   My sister-in-law swears by it!  It seems like such a great place to trade for books!  I'm such an avid reader... I go through 2 - 3 books a week!  THANK you Car Pool Line!!   I love, love, love Chic Lit and Historical Romances, Nicholas Sparks, and Sandra Brown!  I love to sit down with a good book!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!  :)

I'm also looking for someone to do a review for me, so if you are interested please let me know! I'm going to work on that next week (Monday.)

Thank you so much for taking the time to look! :)  I so appreciate it!! Please become a follower!

Everyday sometimes Twice!?!?!

Warning ::  Family Members, this is about Sex!! Not my sexlife (well, not exactly) but it will probably be mentioned!

I picked up a copy of InTouch Weekly this week and Teresa from Real Housewives of New Jersey is on the front cover, with her 4 precious children!  The header says "My Kids Saved Me" so of course I had to buy it!

(This is not the cover, I couldn't find it!)

There is a section of the article in which Joe (her husband) claims the couple still makes love at least once a day.  "If she passes out on me, we do it in the morning" says Joe.  "The Morning is actually pretty good"  They have been married for 10 years!

Seriously, this baffles me!  Once a day?!?!  at least?!?!  Whaaaa?? You go Girl!!!

Then, I started thinking that maybe Bug and I aren't normal!  LOL  At least once a day?  Nope.   Mornings?!?!?  Are you kidding me?  At the S house, we are lucky to squeeze in some "us" time once a week if we are having a good week, twice!!  Pathetic... yes.   We as a couple have gotten so caught up in kids, work, household duties.. that we forget to take time for "us" and at the end of the day, Mommy is tired!  Leave me alone, I'm going to bed kinda tired!

So, I am going to make an effort to take more time out for Bug and I! Even if I'm exhausted!!

What are your opinions on this?!?!  I'm not asking to tell all, but is "normal" to you?

A Christmas Prayer Book Review (Children's Book)

I'm doing my very first review... ever!  When I started this blog, I didn't even know what a "review" was!  Silly Tish!  I promise not to fill my blog with review after review but, as an avid reader and as a mom who reads to her children *almost* every night, I love the idea of book reviews or things that are important to MY family!  So here it goes!

The girls and I got a chance to review "A Christmas Prayer" by Amy Parker.  It was so exciting seeing a brown package at the door when the girls got home from School.  They were SUPER excited!!

The illustrations in this book is amazing!  The pictures are bright and colorful, and the girls loved looking at the pictures!  The story itself was easy enough to read by my 1st graders, with a little help sounding out the words from Mommy!   The story is a Thank-You to God, for all our Christmas Blessings and tells the story of baby Jesus.  It's really a cute little book, definitely one that we are lucky to have in our collection!
J & A give it 2 thumbs up!
